Worth noting if it wasn’t for re-matches, we wouldn’t have all the main Heavyweight belts in England

Re: Povetkin Whyte 2
Is it just me or is anyone else getting a bit bored of all these rematches?

I know we used to have the odd one before but now it seems that every fight has to happen twice and maybe even 3 times in some cases.

Joshua v Fury already going to be a 2 fight deal maybe 3 if it's 1-1 after 2.

To me this is a bit of a cop-out and just making boxing boring. I don't want to see the same fights.

Wilder v.whyte . would be interesting .whyte should jump on him early as the longer it goes it will suit wilder . I've not seen many world class fighters lacking basic boxing technique as much as wilder. But he has the equaliser and povetkin proved whyte can get took out with a single shot.

If you wouldn’t class the likes of Povetkin and Parker contenders, maybe boxing isn’t for you

Sweden's Otto Wallin is a good boxer and gave Fury a good ride for his money, maybe he could be an option for Whyte

Just saw the upcoming Parker v Chisora fight is PPV. Who the fuck would pay to watch that?

Re: Povetkin Whyte 2
Bit disrespectful to Whyte to compare him with Chisora, he has a better record in the past 5 years than any other heavyweight in the world probably. Joshua is the only one active enough to compare, but Povetkin, Parker, Rivas and even Browne, Hellanus & Chisora - all very tough fights, and Parker in particular is a very good boxer.

Whyte might not be world class, but he most certainly deserves a world title shot, and I wouldn't be surprised if he wins it. He's getting better and fitter with every fight, the Wilder fight would be fantastic, but from his after fight interview, if he is now mandatory, I suspect he is going to tone down the risks and take a couple of wars up before his title chance 12-18months from now.

Cheeseman vs Metcalfe was a good fight. He's 'Wall isn't he Cheeseman? Looks none too clever before he gets in the ring.

Teeth look like they were fitted by a Vet too.

I wouldn't class many of the fighters he's beaten "contenders", Scum.

All about opinions.

"His the modern day Derek Chisora."

How many top 10 fighters has Derek beaten and how many years was he ranked number 1 contender?

Block 11:47 Mon Mar 29
Re: Povetkin Whyte 2
I like Whyte purely because he doesn't give a flying fuck about anyone and says what he thinks.

But lets be honest, he's just an security guard - His the modern day Derek Chisora.

Re: Povetkin Whyte 2
Wilder vs Whyte will fight for the WBC title this year, I reckon.

The winner of Fury and AJ will have a WBC title made up especially for them, like their Franchise and Supreme titles, for the follow up fight.

Re: Povetkin Whyte 2
I like Whyte.

He’s a good boxer and takes risks. Criminal he has not been given a world title shot yet.

Hopefully gets one eventually. I’m sure Hearn will line him up with either Joshua or Fury after they finish their two fight deal for another bumper pay day.

That’s probably still a couple of years away mind.

Wilder vs Whyte would be a good one.
